Glasgow Caledonian University offers a stimulating, vibrant and accessible environment for learning, teaching and applied research. Nearly 17,000 students from the UK and abroad study here, and we aim to provide each and every one of them with an unbeatable student experience, a high-quality education and valuable employability skills. CTH has the following agreement with GCU; CTH Diploma in Tourism or Hospitality – successful completion of this provides eligibility to apply for direct entry to the third year of either BA/BA(Hons) International Tourism and Travel Enterprise OR BA/BA(Hons) International Tourism and Hospitality Enterprise. CTH Advanced Diploma in Tourism or Hospitality – successful completion of this provides eligibility to apply for direct entry to fourth year of either BA (Hons) International Tourism and Travel Enterprise OR BA (Hons) International Tourism and Hospitality Enterprise. As we’re a Scottish institution, we need to adhere to the SCQF credit transfer guidelines. A candidate must have 2 years (240 credits) of equivalent study to enter 3rd year of a degree, and 360 credits to enter 4th year. This means that we expect students with the CTH Diploma and Advanced Diploma to also hold an A Level or equivalent qualification. If they don’t hold this then we may offer a lower point of entry (at present we don’t run our Tourism and Hospitality suite at 2nd year entry). Glasgow Caledonian University expects students to have achieved a prior year of study equivalent to A Level.
