PROOF OF ENGLISH LEVEL FOR VISA APPLICATIONS. If your Tier 4 sponsor has assessed your qualifications in order to assign your confirmation of acceptance for studies (CAS), you must send these qualifications with your visa application. For each qualification listed, you must provide:
We will not accept provisional certificates. Each certificate of qualification must be the original (not a copy), and must clearly show;
Each transcript of results must be the original (not a copy), and must clearly show;
You will need to know what evidence your Tier 4 sponsor has included on your CAS, so that you can include it with your visa application. You must get this information from your Tier 4 sponsor before you apply for your visa. If you send a document that is not in English or Welsh in support of your claim for points, this document must be accompanied by a full translation that can be independently verified by the visa issuing authority. The original translation must contain ALL of the following:
If you send a translation of an overseas qualification or award certificate, it will not be considered as a direct translation of the academic level of that award. UK NARIC is used to assess the equivalency of overseas qualifications.
You must show your visa stamp (also known as vignette) in your passport or your identity card at port when you arrive. We advise that you carry the documents you provided with your original application (or copies of them) in your hand luggage, including your confirmation of acceptance for studies reference number (or your original visa letter if you applied before 22 February 2010).
