Upon the successful completion of the University Foundation Programme, you will receive the Crest Schools of English certificate accompanied by the IELTS certificate and an academic reference from our Director of Studies.

Level: intermediate to proficiency (B1 – C2)

What is the programme like?

The university foundation year course has two modules, each 12 weeks long and concludes with an IELTS test. The modules consist of:

  • English language tuition (general, academic, conversational)
  • IT lessons
  • Self-study sessions
  • Academic skills lessons
  • Tutorials

The programme specialises in the development of your academic English language skills in the following areas:

  • Academic reading – extended reading of academic material and note-taking
  • Academic listening – lecture/seminar note taking
  • Academic speaking – oral presentations, participation in seminars and group discussions
  • Writing of academic papers

In addition to learning about the different learning styles, the course is also designed to enhance your academic study skills, such as:

  • Concentration and time management
