What is TKT?

Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT) is a Cambridge ESOL teaching award and leads to an internationally recognised qualification.

It has been developed to help grow your confidence as a teacher and to develop your teaching knowledge and skills. Participants will need an intermediate level of English to join the course but there is no formal language assessment in the programme.

The TKT course consists of a number of core and specialist modules. On completion of the modules you can take the TKT exam, which is administered by London Crest Open Centre, one of the largest Cambridge ESOL examination centres in the UK.

Minimum Age: 18

Level: intermediate to proficiency (B1 – C2)

Tuition: 30 hours per week

Module 2 – Planning for language teaching
Module 3 – Classroom management
Practical – Assessment of teaching competence
