The Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT) (Please scroll down for Teacher Refresher Programme)

TKT is a Cambridge ESOL teaching award testing knowledge about teaching English to speakers of other languages.

The course is for all teachers, anywhere in the world, whatever your teaching background or experience as well as for those who would like to become teachers but do not yet have a teaching position

The course is designed to increase your confidence in the classroom and to enhance your professional knowledge needed for teaching primary, secondary or adult learners, anywhere in the world.

The course focuses on different methodologies for teaching, the ‘language of teaching’, the different ways of using resources, the key aspects of lesson planning, and classroom management methods for different needs. (The TKT does not test your proficiency in the English language, nor your practical skills)

If you are a candidate from EU, you may be eligible for Comenius or Lingua funding to the value of 1500 euros. For more details, please contact your local agency.

Dates and prices

Included in course fees: all tuition costs, text book, registration fee, student welcome pack, free email and internet access, loan of listening materials, loan of school resource materials, loan of supplementary materials, some social activities, certificate of attendance.

Not included: accommodation and accommodation arrangement fee, exam fees, UK bank charges, airport transfer, some social activities.
 

Teacher Refresher Programme

This course provides overseas teachers with an excellent opportunity to refresh their teaching knowledge and skills in an English language environment. Our highly experienced and professional tutors will create a tailor-made course according to the specific needs of each group, be it teaching methodology, classroom management or any other aspect of teaching a foreign language.

Candidates can combine this programme with English language lessons and will have the opportunity to observe our teachers in the classrooms.
